In the fall of 1908, Ottawa’s E.D. Lowe and T.H. Martin founded Lowe-Martin Company Ltd. What began as a small, specialized printing firm has grown and diversified over the years, all the while maintaining the careful attention to quality and customer service for which the Lowe-Martin name has always been renowned.

In 1984, Don Griffin, father of current owners Ward and Tracy Griffin, purchased the company, becoming President and CEO for the next twelve years.

In the late 1980’s, Don formed a series of partnerships to guide Lowe-Martin’s entry into new lines of business. The late 1990’s saw Lowe-Martin enter the e-business arena. Initially launched as Online Services, what is now known as OmniConnex has allowed Lowe-Martin to capitalize on web-based tools to re-engineer how the firm does business with its customers, as well as how the customers themselves do business.

One hundred years after Lowe-Martin was founded, the demand for high quality, well-crafted print remains as strong as it ever has been. Despite there being a proliferation of new technologies and new methods of communications, printing still plays a central part in human interaction. The Lowe-Martin group is successfully leveraging these new methods in combination with printing to improve the effectiveness of our customers’ communication.
