RECEIVING & INVENTORY CONTROL CLERK
Location: Mississauga
Summary of responsibilities/Sommaire des responsabilités:
As Receiver and Inventory Control person you will be responsible for receiving all incoming product from the point it arrives on the dock to the point it is picked from inventory. Crucial elements required to create an efficient flow through the warehouse include:
• proper management of incoming materials,
• performance of regular cycle counts, physical counts and consolidations,
• ensuring that items are received as per the EIR process,
• managing the goods in inventory by performing regular counts and consolidations, and
• assisting with general warehouse work such as picking, packing and shipping as required
Our facility is licensed by Health Canada to receive and store Medical Devices for our pharmaceutical clients. Our goal is to have all the items in the warehouse properly located and accurately represented in our electronic systems.
Experience/Expérience:
• Background in a distribution and logistics environment is a significant asset
• Strong background in receiving and inventory control procedures such as cycle counting & consolidation is preferred
• Certified on ReachTruck is considered to be an asset
• Familiar with GMP procedures (as per Health Canada guidelines) and client SOPs for pharmaceutical clients
• Knowledge of inventory procedures for Lot/Expiry date controlled product is preferred
• Familiarity with computerized warehouse management systems/ barcoding is an asset
• Completion of High School or equivalent experience
Abilities/Capacités:
• Comprehension of and the ability to meticulously follow the specific and unique requirements of the pharmaceutical industry for receiving and storage of medical devices is extremely important
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in an appropriate business manner
• Solid understanding of and ability to assess client needs
• Must be a team oriented individual capable of working on your own or with others
• Self-starter with a strong ability to multi-task, organize, and work well with limited supervision
• Superior attention to detail (meticulous), work well under pressure and demanding deadlines
• Solid understanding and ability to assess client needs
• Must understand the urgent and time sensitive nature of the print/distribution industry
• Able to follow-up with work in process in order to receive inventory within stated client SLAs
• Basic mathematic skills are required
• Attendance and punctuality are extremely important
• Must have a strong work ethic
Knowledge/Connaissances:
• Strong understanding of Pharmaceutical client requirements
• GMP awareness/ Health Canada regulations for Medical Device licensed facilities is an asset
• Knowledge of office automation software such as M.S. Word and Excel are needed
