As Receiver and Inventory Control person you will be responsible for receiving all incoming product from the point it arrives on the dock to the point it is picked from inventory. Crucial elements required to create an efficient flow through the warehouse include:<br />

This position will coordinate all Shipping and Machine &amp; Hand Bindery functions of the commercial products in the plant.  The primary functions are to oversee the manufacturing processes and ensure quality is adhered to, processes are being followed, and staff is coordinated to maximize productivity and meet delivery requirements.  Additional responsibilities include:</p>
<p><strong>Production / Process:</strong><br />
-  Coordinate workflow and work priorities, schedules, docket tracking and job status through the Bindery processes<br />
-  Ensure staff is aware of all current and upcoming job priorities<br />
-  Attend daily production meetings<br />
-  Inform and assist Hand assembly Line Captains in coordinating and scheduling Hand Assembly operations<br />
-  Provide “floor” guidance to Bindery staff<br />
-  Handle questions from staff regarding job docket information – provide answers or seek assistance/clarification from the Production Manager or Sales / Client Services<br />
-  Provide quality control and ensure work instructions and procedures (quality checks, trend pulls) are followed<br />
-  Review productivity and implement efficiencies with an emphasis on Lean manufacturing<br />
-  Act as the Bindery 5S champion by promoting a 5S method of ensuring work stations are clean, organized and efficient<br />
-  Ensure Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to and enforced.</p>
<p><strong>Reporting:</strong><br />
-  Report daily performance issues to the Production Manager<br />
-  Keep the Production Manager updated with daily production status and report any issues throughout the day<br />
-  Identify and report on the performance of all Bindery staff members to the Production Manager to provide assistance in the Performance Feedback Appraisal process</p>
<p><strong>Experience:</strong><br />
•	Experience in machine and hand bindery required<br />
•	Experience working under pressure and meeting multiple demanding deadlines<br />
•	Previous Coordinator or Supervisory experience is preferred</p>
<p><strong>Abilities: </strong><br />
•	Able to multi-task,  plan and coordinate priorities<br />
•	Strong communication and organizational skills<br />
•	Able to supervise and train staff<br />
•	Dependable, reliable, dedicated and hard-working</p>
<p><strong>Knowledge: </strong><br />
•	Knowledge of Lowe-Martin processes and policies<br />
•	Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and quality guidelines</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The IAPHC International Gallery of Superb Printing, which in 2009 marks its 35th year of recognizing excellence in the arts and sciences of graphic communication, is produced annually by the IAPHC. The IAPHC Graphics Resource Network, is a trade association with a 90 year tradition of connecting persons in the graphic arts industry around the globe.</p>
<p>In 2009, entries from around the world were presented to a panel of International judges who evaluated the entries based on qualitative measures involving both technical execution  and use of colour, ink, typography, paper and finishing techniques.  </p>
<p>Twelve publications produced by Lowe-Martin received awards at this year’s competition including 7 Gold, 3 Silver, 1 Bronze and 1 Honourable Mention award. Lowe-Martin client publications that received recognition ranged from annual reports and event programs to  fashion magazines and art books. </p>
<p>Lowe-Martin’s own <em>Faces</em> art book  – a publication produced to celebrate Lowe-Martin’s 100th anniversary in business, also won Gold! This beautiful Smyth sewn, case bound book with debossing on the cover, is a collection of portraits of Lowe-Martin employees, and of members of their families  - 1 portrait per year from 1908 to 2008.</p>
