DIGITAL MANAGER - OTTAWA
The Digital Manager is responsible for the following:
- Managing the employees of Lowe-Martin's Digital department
- Assigning work to department personnel
- Overseeing and participating in the scheduling for Production
- Communicating with Client Service Representatives (CSRs) and Sales to answer scheduling questions
- Ensuring jobs are produced on-time and within acceptable quality
- Working with CSRs and Sales staff to resolve customer problems
- Backing up various jobs within the department when emergencies or overload conditions develop
- Establishing and maintaining quality assurance (design, implement and lead transformational change and initiatives)
- Managing inventory effectively
- Recommending new equipment and processes
Experience:
- Must understand the complete operations of digital printing and how this function fits into the overall operation
- Experience managing conflict effectively and fairly
- Prior experience in Production / Operations in the Printing industry
Skills and Abilities:
- Effective communication skills - verbal and written
- Able to multi-task and organize multiple priorities
- Able to remain calm under pressure and meet demanding deadlines
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills and a self starter
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Operations and utilization of staff and equipment
- Completion of a Print Media program or related experience would be an asset
