PRODUCTION ADMINISTRATOR - MISSISSAUGA

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Administrator serves as the primary support for Planning, Purchasing and Estimating. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing costs and plans for commercial printing and related services
  • Working with approved vendors to support Purchasing
  • Reviewing and analyzing post-production cost summaries
  • Consulting with Production regarding planning problems and challenges
  • Reviewing & verifying that all material sent with jobs is correct and accurate
  • Communicating regularly with Planning, Estimating, Purchasing, and Production
  • Maintaining a high level of quality and helping to improve workflow processes

Experience:

  • Broad knowledge of the commercial print industry
  • Previous estimating experience
  • Experience negotiating with vendors and related activities

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Must be able to multi-task and organize multiple priorities
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be self-motivated and results oriented
  • Work well with limited supervision
  • Exercise attention to detail
  • Work well under pressure and demanding deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills - a team player

Knowledge:

  • Completion of a post-secondary program in Printing or a related industry considered an asset
  • Knowledge of office automation software including strong typing or data entry skills required
  • Knowledge of Lowe-Martin's processes and procedures an asset
