PRODUCTION ADMINISTRATOR - MISSISSAUGA
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Administrator serves as the primary support for Planning, Purchasing and Estimating. Responsibilities include:
- Providing costs and plans for commercial printing and related services
- Working with approved vendors to support Purchasing
- Reviewing and analyzing post-production cost summaries
- Consulting with Production regarding planning problems and challenges
- Reviewing & verifying that all material sent with jobs is correct and accurate
- Communicating regularly with Planning, Estimating, Purchasing, and Production
- Maintaining a high level of quality and helping to improve workflow processes
Experience:
- Broad knowledge of the commercial print industry
- Previous estimating experience
- Experience negotiating with vendors and related activities
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Must be able to multi-task and organize multiple priorities
- Possess strong problem-solving skills
- Must be self-motivated and results oriented
- Work well with limited supervision
- Exercise attention to detail
- Work well under pressure and demanding deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills - a team player
Knowledge:
- Completion of a post-secondary program in Printing or a related industry considered an asset
- Knowledge of office automation software including strong typing or data entry skills required
- Knowledge of Lowe-Martin's processes and procedures an asset
